6 Essential Martial Art Gears To Keep You Safe

The term Martial art is synonymous to fighting style or warfare strategies, it is basically a combination of discipline, power and speed to teach a person about the combat techniques during self-protection and prevent from getting injured during an attack from the opponent.

Though there are different forms of martial art but Chinese, Korean, and Japanese martial art are more popular, some of the other martial arts are European, American, African and Asian styles.

The different types of martial arts require gears which are different for the different arts, in some of the martial arts even gears are not recommended at all.

In such martial arts the learners have to remain strictly under supervision of the experts. But in any case the gears have a specific purpose and should be advocated. Normally during practice, students are required to fight with the trained people or they can fight with other learners, this may be the reason why the chances of getting injured are very high.

It is very important to safe guard the important organs of the body which are exposed to blows of the opponent, hence the use of guard is very essential to save the vital organs from getting injured.

Gears are also helpful in facilitating the movement despite the weight issues, these martial arts cannot be learnt without movement. The different types of gears which are required while learning martial arts are art specific.

6 of the most commonly used gears are given below:

1) Head gears.

These are helmets, mouth guards and face masks which provide protection to head and the entire facial structure. This gear will save the face from getting injured during the blows from the opponent especially during wrestling style fighting.

2) Torso gears.

These provide protection to the upper torso of the body especially chest region and some part of the abdomen, this region is quite vulnerable during the fight.

3) Protection of groin.

To protect this area is very significant by both the sexes, these include sports cup or the crotch guard, this will help in protecting the privates from the kicks and punches.

4) Shin guard.

The shin area comprises mostly of the muscles and there is very less flesh which could have given the natural protection. In absence of flesh this area too is prone to get injured and may cause lot of pain. To use shin guard is very important.

5) Feet gear.

A direct hit or a kick by legs and feet could be very dangerous, so the boots are designed in such manner to protect the opponent from the severe injury during such an encounter

6) Hand gear.

These are punching mitts which protect the opponent from strong and forceful punches. When choosing the gears for the martial art, never compromise with the quality, even though the gears may cost you more, there is no harm in spending some more money so that you are fully protected during your learning session.

Hence be very careful in choosing the best quality gears for martial art, this will keep you and your opponent protected during the training programs.
