Core Strength Training

At Crazy Monkey Defence Malaysia, we do core strength training to augment our martial arts training. You can use your martial arts skills more effectively if you are fit and strong.
Training in martial arts required certain degree of fitness covering strength, stamina and endurance. Of course, if your objective is to loose weights, than our core strength workouts are perfect for you.

The most likely answer is that you didn't. Neither did I.
I used to workout in a leading gym in Kuala Lumpur but did not gain any muscles or loose weights. With CMD Malaysia training programs I lost weight, gained strength and stamina. You can too! And all without machines or weights.
Our core strength training was developed in response to the increasing demand for a low-frills, affordable and effective workouts by those in the know.
It is a non-combative, non-competitive, functional and efficient circuit of exercises that uses one's bodyweight as resistance. The most well known bodyweight exercise is the humble "Pushup", and we have multiple variations of it designed to maximize our core strength workout.
Crazy Monkey Defence Malaysia is a comprehensive martial arts facility for amateur and professional fighters. The need for a time-efficient and totally portable workout was developed after extensive research and exposure to exercise professionals like Pavel Tsatsouline, Wayne Fisher and Mark Hatmaker.
Our core strength training programs are developed by my combative instructor and NESTA (National Endurance and Sport Trainers Association) certified trainer, Vince Choo.

Crazy Monkey Defence is a high-intensity interval workout and exercise program for building real strength, stamina and endurance, as opposed to body building workouts using machines or free weights which are mainly for physical appearance.
Of course, you will gain some muscles, and loose weights. But you'll be gaining lean functional muscles effective for martial arts, combative sports or any other sports that you do. Amateur and professional athletes of all levels and abilities has used our core strength workout as rehabilitation and stress management.
You will perform a series of exercises in a circuit, often, using nothing more than your hands or feet and your own bodyweight as resistance. Exercise duration, the number of reps, sets and tempo of movement as well as rest periods are determined by your level of physical ability. So you may do our core strength workout anywhere and anytime you like.
The use of your bodyweight as resistance is nothing new but the manner in which we use that bodyweight to develop awesome strength, stamina and endurance is!
Our core strength training programs are completely drug-free and natural training method that has helped many lose as much as 10kg while gaining FUNCTIONAL strength and stamina! More importantly, the weight loss is maintained, a healthier lifestyle is implemented while providing a more positive mental outlook.
Our core strength workout and exercises include calisthenics, bodyweight resistance training, crunches, agility and power drills, sports drills and some innovative and extremely effective drills you can easily do alone using your bodyweight.
Some of the drills we do in a circuit format are side bends, hip thrusts, leg lifts, flutter kicks, bicycle tucks, hindu push-ups, diamond push-ups, lazy dogs, mountain climbers, bear crawls and etc. Full of fun and exciting challenges as we motivate and encourage each other to complete the circuit.
We have made it easy for you to learn our CMD training with Beginner, Intermediate and Advance level classes in our gym.
